Jade is a senior at Columbia University majoring in Art History and French. Her interests in Art History are centred around the exploration of intermedia, materiality, and the politics of representation, with particular attention to postwar and global avant-garde practices. She is especially invested in the relationship between visual form and theoretical discourse, approaching artworks not as illustrations of ideas but as sites where meaning is structurally produced.

Alongside her scholarly work, Jade practices graphic design and photography. Her design projects are often shaped by her art historical background, drawing inspiration from Bauhaus, Dada collage, and the work of David Carson. In photography, she primarily works in film, drawn to the grain and intentionality that analogue processes afford. Her images attend to light, surface, and the quiet weight of overlooked moments.

Outside of her academic and creative practice, Jade enjoys reading, trying new restaurants, learning languages, and cooking.
